Clashing patterns really made a simple outfit pop. Segments of directional strokes in movements alongside a scatter of dots. Who says you can’t pair stripes and polka dots together?
You can achieve a strong graphic look if you plan out a strong aesthetic. The focal points can speak volumes of the outfit as a whole but it’s the details that make it playful.
I paired my purposeful pattern clash with a slick textured jacket for an edgy street feel. The black and white stripes of my shirt is directional and matched more subtly in the repetitive panels of my leather jacket sleeves. The circular dots of my stockings is mimicked by the curves of my thumb ring.
